This was a fun project and really made clear to me how much I love playing with different colours and thus how much I love using minis! Now time to work away all those little ends…………. 😀
The orient express shawl, I saw the announcement of the pattern at the end of December 2017 and the name, referring to Agatha Christie made me interested. But would I be able to do it? Would I be able to participate for the first time in an MKAL? Wouldn’t it be too difficult and would I be able to keep up? I decided to reach out in the group and share my doubts and I’m SO happy I did! What a wonderful bunch of people, very friendly, always there to help.. I felt that even my newbie questions had a place! And so, I started searching for yarn combinations from my stash, make cakes and waited excited for the first clue to come out..
With every clue that came, I learned one or a few more stitches each time and I love it! It’s not finished yet, as I’m currently working on the border, but hopefully that will be ready soon too. But do you see those beautiful stitches doing that amazing dance together, creating something beautiful from the already beautiful yarn? When I look at it, I still cannot believe I made this, but I did and I feel proud! 🙂
